It all began in 1987, when Adam walked off his Hofstra MBA stage and straight onto the streets of Long Island — armed with a notepad, a pen, and his dad’s very used car (complete with a portable fan to keep the driver’s seat from collapsing). No backing. No rolodex. Just a young entrepreneur with conviction and the willingness to knock on every door. Those early relationships became the foundation of a portfolio — and a reputation — built to last.
Even as the commercial market buckled in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Adam was building. He developed a network of qualified buyers who trusted his read on the market and his strategies for navigating it. While others pulled back, he doubled down on relationships.
That instinct has paid off. The Silber Investment Properties team has now closed thousands of transactions, including landmark deals like the $63M sale of Sunset Plaza in North Babylon and the $29.75M sale of the Mt. Sinai Shopping Center. With offices on Long Island and in La Jolla, California, the firm brings deep market knowledge and the same relationship-first philosophy to clients on both coasts.

Outside the office, Adam is devoted to his wife Debi (his college sweetheart), their four children, two daughter in-laws and two dogs. He competes in football, softball, golf, and tennis — and gives back through hospice care for the terminally ill, feeding the homeless in New York City, and volunteering at a local soup kitchen.
He keeps a Wayne Dyer quote close: “If you knew who walked beside you at all times on this path you have chosen, you could never experience fear or doubt again.”
