The Background
We represented both the buyer and the seller in the sale of Drum Point Plaza, a neighborhood shopping center in Brick, New Jersey. For over a year, we stayed in touch with ownership about a potential sale. The seller was not ready at first, so we kept the relationship going and checked in periodically as their plans evolved.
The Opportunity
After more than a year of follow-up, the seller decided the timing was right and gave us the chance to represent them. Once we were engaged, we pulled together the property information, worked through pricing expectations, and started evaluating potential buyers.
What We Did
Through our investor network, we identified a local buyer who already owned property in the area and knew the Brick market. Because he was active nearby, he recognized the value of the asset quickly and stayed engaged throughout the process.
How It Closed
Like most shopping center deals, there were negotiations and hurdles along the way. Both sides stayed committed to getting it done, and the transaction closed.
The Silber Difference
A lot of deals start long before a property officially hits the market. Consistent follow-up and relationship building are what put us in position when the seller was finally ready. Once the opening came, we matched the property with the right local buyer and carried the deal through to closing.
